Leather sewing

I made a leather pouch from an old jacket. You can read more about it in MADE.

The process was easy enough and the result so satisfying that I am ready to go for something even more impressive in the future (large tote bag?). Not too soon though. There are many other sewing projects that wait their turn in my closet, and this is the year of decluttering, so I need to start there first. I have finished a dress that I started one or two years ago, and needed only a few more seams. It's similar to writing -- you reach a point in the process where it's too much for you and it needs to sit back and wait. After a while you can see it differently and it's not intimidating anymore. My writing-projects folder also needs decluttering. Yes, this is the year.
