Our food is dead.
I have at least two friends who's younger children were born with food allergies. Last week I witnessed an allergic reaction of one of these babies and I don't know if I've seen something similarly scary ever before. A child and her body's disfiguring reaction to ... food. Or what we still call "food." In Romania food allergies are almost unknown. I have not met anybody or heard of anybody in my circle of friends and acquaintances who has a food allergy.
This video made me cry. It shows clearly and logically the trajectory of our foods in the past few years.
This documentary helped me finally decide to buy exclusively organic food (not just the dirty dozen), although our food bills skyrocketed.
Watching these videos and learning the outrageous things they reveal is not easy. It makes me sick. But unfortunately we have to know if we do not want to relinquish control of our lives and health, if we want to protect what we can of our children's lives and health.

Astounding info - glad I don't live in the US - already I didn't buy food impported to NZ from the US, but this would make sure I never do!
I always try to buy organic and I buy seasonally - if there are strawberries mid winter, I figure there's something not quite right about them?!
Thanks for putting so much excellent info in one place.
Thanyou for this thought provoking subject,
we can speak of it as much as we can speak of Love.
We become what we eat....
the health of our food is our health, food raised with care and attention and thoughtful farming will have a similar imapact on our organisms....all this goes into a very deep philosophy
of being 'attentive'
to how we protect our environments, our earth, how we listen to her....
and not absurdly thinking of the earth as Man's sole monopoly.
This consciousness begins with us,
how we tend to look at things....
therefore, eating is more than food,
more than culture,
more than intelligence,
more than the relationship with our mothers,....it is the very reflecton of our existence!
We eat for the sustenance of our bodies as much as we eat for our pleasures and the sustenance of our spirits.
We eat joyfully.....yet so many famished voices surrounds us.
For survival to ascension.....
HUGS!!
col
i made of few errors in my phrasing, as i have this habbit of not looking on the sceen as i type....please excuse...for the mistypes...'thankyou' and 'from survival to sustenance'.
