April and me

Hi, everyone. How have you been? Anyone there? No? Oh, well, it's OK. Let's just pretend. For my sake? Thanks.

My daughter requested that I smile in a photo because she doesn't like my serious face. So here we go.

The snows finally seem to be behind us. So are the winter blues ... or at least let's try to pretend (again).

Gardening is happening. Not enjoying it all that much this year. You know, after the poison ivy and the ticks attacked me viciously in the past three years, it is hard to get back into the bucolic idealism of long time ago. But our garden is starting to look prettier this year. I'll have to take some photos soon.

I am working on new bags for the summer. Trying to work with leather this time. Inspired a lot by the beautiful bags of Studio Waterstone. My bags are nowhere close to that. I'll have to take some photos and show you.

As summer is in the works, I am also reinventing my seasonal wardrobe. It will be smocked dresses and light cardigans --I am now cutting all the T-shirts that I am not crazy about to see how they might work as cardigans.

I am trying to see that I am content and trying to find acceptance. I am trying to work harder and be happy with that, find joy and satisfaction in that. Sometimes it has to be enough.

I am trying to smile more.

I hope you're all doing well. What? I don't hear anything. Seriously disappointed in you, people. I thought we were all making an effort to pretend we were having a nice dialogue here. This is not working.

Well, whatever. I am still smiling, see?
Hope you are too.

I think your smile is lovely too! I think using it more is a very good goal :)

I never thought of doing that with t-shirts before. I'd love to see some photos of what you turn them into.

You have a beautiful smile, no reason to be hiding it.

Lori - I thought you looked beautiful before I saw your picture! But you are a stunner - and very funny!

Maybe some of those big wellybob dungarees the fishermen wear and a pair of gauntlets for the garden? :)

I'm glad the sun found you. CAn't wait to see the bags/cardis.
